In Northeast Ohio, the Old Brooklyn neighborhood is home to one of the largest populations of residents 60 years and older. While many of these seniors still care for themselves, many rely on charitable organizations for ongoing support and opportunities to stay active within the community.Since 1971, Senior Citizen Resources has filled this need. Our programming helps to keep individuals healthy and living independently by meeting their basic needs. Our main programs — transportation, nutrition, activities, social service, and volunteering — focus on health and wellness, and provide opportunities for creativity, lifelong learning, and socialization. To date, we have positively impacted the lives of thousands of seniors, while continuing to expand our services and broaden the reach of our programs. Our mission: to enhance continued independent living and promote the quality of life for seniors in the Old Brooklyn community — is our never-ending inspiration!
